Top Rated Prescription Drug Rehab

Medication can have many beneficial effects when used to treat illnesses. Opioids are used to treat pain, coughing, and diarrhea. Stimulants are prescribed to help with ADHD (attention deficit disorder) and narcolepsy. Central nervous system depressants help with anxiety, sleep, and panic disorders. But when misused and combined inappropriately, these medications can have severe consequences for a person’s health and well-being. Repeated misuse of these drugs can cause altered brain chemistry and drug addiction. Only a healthcare practitioner can say who, what, and how much prescription drugs should be administered. According to a recent study by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, over 18 million people misused prescription drugs at least once in the past year.
