Top Rated Outpatient Alcohol Rehab Center for Residents of Grand Prairie

Recovery from alcohol addiction does not end the minute you step out of residential rehab. You will need continued support, and connections to a sober community to help you when times get rough. This is why Resurgence is one of the best outpatient alcohol rehab centers in the country. With our completely customizable outpatient treatment programs, our connections with affiliated sober living homes, and our open and supportive alumni network, we can help you remain sober and avoid relapsing for the long term.

Resurgence is the top-rated outpatient alcohol rehab, because of our continued high level of support that remains long after you complete an inpatient program. Recovery is a highly individualized process that is different for everybody, so we create a program that is customized to you and your needs. With our connections to sober living affiliate homes, our alumni program, and our outpatient care, you will never need to feel alone in your recovery. There is always support available to you, for as long as you need it.

Although it is strongly recommended to complete a 30-day minimum stay in inpatient care before transitioning to an outpatient program, we recognize that not everybody has the ability to leave their obligations behind for a full month. This is why we also offer our outpatient services to people who have completed a detox program and need to quickly return to their responsibilities at home.

What to Expect During Outpatient Rehab

Outpatient rehab is less restrictive than inpatient rehab. You will have the freedom to choose how your treatment is provided, including the intensity and frequency of your programming. Your treatments will be customized to your needs, but you will still have access to support systems like:

  • One-on-one therapy
  • Counseling
  • Peer groups
  • Medical support
  • Psychiatric support
  • Access to a sober community/alumni

Your treatment will completely depend on your comfort level. You may choose to start in our Partial Hospitalization Program and then move into the Intensive Outpatient Program. You may enjoy talking to peers in groups and during alumni outings more than your more formal appointments with a therapist, or you may prefer full days of highly scheduled programming. We will work with you to create an appropriate program for you, and we are happy to switch gears when your needs evolve.

How Long Does Outpatient Rehab Last with Resurgence?

At Resurgence, we don’t want to constrain you to a time limit, as each person’s needs are different when they enter an outpatient program. We want each patient to receive just as much care as they require. We will help you choose a program that is right for you at the moment, but this can change over time as your needs change. You may want to taper down the frequency of your therapy sessions, or you may hit a bump in the road and decide you need to attend more groups. Whatever the case, we are happy to help you. You will always have our support, and you can always contact us or visit a nearby facility if you want to attend a meeting or schedule a therapy appointment.

Our supportive alumni group also regularly has events and get-togethers, and they are always open to having you or anybody else in need of extra support joining them. They are there to offer support and mentorship, and to create opportunities to make lasting sober friendships.

IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)

In our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), you will live at home (or in a sober living home if you wish), and you will participate in groups, see your therapist for individual sessions, and have follow-up appointments with your psychiatrist and medical providers. The IOP also has the option of providing case management services like resume building, job interviewing, and life skills development.

This program is designed to work around your schedule, so you will be able to return to your responsibilities like full- or part-time work, school, or taking care of your family. We will provide full support, and provide connections to our sober alumni group to provide alternatives when you are presented with challenges out in the world.

PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program)

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a transitional program, where you will live outside of our facility and commute to one of our outpatient locations. You can return to regular life at home, administering your own medications, while treating our PHP as your job. During the day you will attend scheduled one-on-one therapy sessions, attend peer group meetings, check-in with your medical team, and have full access to our amenities. This program will help you regain your freedoms slowly, so you don’t become overwhelmed by everything all at once.

Which Outpatient Treatment, IOP or PHP is Right For Me?

The IOP works best for people who are ready to use their recovery skills in an unstructured setting. If you are highly motivated in your recovery and have a support network of friends and family, and a social network that can provide positive support, the IOP might be right for you. You will have to be motivated and responsible for attending appointments on your own, as the focus shifts onto your own personal responsibility and accountability.

The PHP will work best for you if you want an intermediary step between residential and outpatient rehab, as it provides more face-time with sober peers and caregivers, and will give that extra support you will need to prevent relapsing as you begin to return to your regular life. The PHP generally lasts for around two weeks, after which you will transition into an IOP, but everybody’s timeline and needs are different, so we will work with you to figure out what will work best for your individual situation.
